What you will love about the role:

As Roadside Operations Manager, you’ll be the engine behind our national roadside programs — leading day-to-day operations, driving continuous improvement, and enhancing service delivery for Australia’s heavy vehicle network.

You’ll manage a small high-performing team and work closely with OEMs, fleet clients, service providers, suppliers, and internal teams across NTI. Your ability to connect strategy with execution, and customer outcomes with commercial performance, will be critical to your success.

Your impact will include:

  • Driving operational improvements, workflow design, and customer service innovations
  • Managing operational budgets and supporting income targets in line with business goals
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs, clients, suppliers, and national service providers
  • Coaching and developing team members and overseeing performance across partners and providers
  • Leading the evolution of roadside products and services to meet market demands
  • Being the escalation point for the 24/7 service centre and managing service delivery continuity
  • Supporting the rollout of new technologies, fuel innovations, and service enhancements
  • Ensuring strong reporting, compliance, and knowledge-sharing across teams

What we’ll love about you:

You’re a relationship-focused leader with deep experience in commercial vehicle operations. Calm under pressure, you bring a proactive, improvement mindset and the ability to align people, processes, and partnerships to deliver results.

Key experience and qualifications:

  • Trade qualifications in commercial vehicle repair (essential)
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or a related field (desirable)
  • Minimum 10 years in the commercial vehicle repair industry, ideally including OEM, fleet, or workshop management
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic stakeholder engagement experience
  • Proven success leading operational improvement initiatives
  • Understanding of transport and logistics industry language and challenges

You’ll also have:

  • Recognised relationship and negotiation skills
  • Data analysis capability to identify and act on performance trends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
