Keeping the industry running
When it comes to plant and equipment, keeping machinery running helps keep industry moving. That’s why our team of Yellow Cover claims specialists, including internal Repair Managers, make fast decisions, giving customers an average total loss settlement time of just 10 working days.
- Our Repair Managers have previous Yellow industry and/or equipment repair experience. This is unique in the market!
- Customers have direct access to specialist Repair Managers working in partnership with experienced Technical Claims Managers.
- We have trading accounts with most plant & equipment dealerships and manufacturers, which allow us to supply parts more efficiently to customers – even if they are doing their own repairs! These agreements are unique to Yellow Cover!
- We authorise a Heavy Motor Recovery Operator to recover the equipment using the latest skills and equipment to prevent further damage.
- All authorised repairs are covered by the NTI Repair Guarantee for the life of the item.
- Yellow Cover customers are assigned a single Claims Specialist to ensure you always speak with the same person.
- Our Yellow Cover claims, repair management, and underwriting specialists are located in offices across Australia.
Taking care of the big stuff
A Yellow Cover customer had a multi-million-dollar piece of equipment damaged by flood waters in Beaudesert.
This highly specialised piece of equipment was one of only 10 in the world! The NTI claims team worked with manufacturer representatives in Asia Pacific and Germany to find a suitable solution. They even looked at breaking the item up and sending it to Germany to be sighted by experts – as it would only be known if repairs could be carried out after they had assessed the damage.
The item was eventually broken into five components. Repairs were carried out on the parts that could be fixed and others were replaced. While finding a solution with the manufacturer, NTI organised for the damaged items to be moved and alternative equipment delivered to the site so that operations could continue. We don’t just look after small business – we also look after the “big stuff”, including highly specialised equipment.
